A "Simply Sweet" Day of DIY Valentine's Craft Creations

Are you looking for some simple, yet sweet Valentine's Day craft creations to DIY, give & enjoy this year?  If so, you've come to the right place!  Here a few to consider that we did in the Wylie house last year...

#1 - Want a simple yet sentimental craft for your kids to make for their daddy's?  How about this one?  Not only is the poem too cute for words, but this makes for a great keepsake as it has their hand & foot prints!
"From the bottom of my heart...to the tips of my toes...my love for you daddy just grows & grows!"  Pin Me
Supplies needed: paper (we used pink & black construction paper & white computer paper because that's what we had, but cardstock is recommended), large ink pad, pen or marker, ribbon or string, hole punch, letter scrapbooking stickers.

#2 - Does your sweetheart love Swedish fish or appreciate handmade sentiments?  If so, consider this edible option >>>
"Of all the fish in the sea...I'm glad God chose you for me!"  Pin Me
Supplies needed: 1 clear sheet protector; white, blue & red paper; 2 twisty ties (to secure the 2 fish on the inside); scrapbook letter stickers, pen or marker, silk leaves, Swedish fish candy

Directions: create everything on the card except the fish in the front cover & the sheet protector.  Once the card is created, open the card up & insert it into the sheet protector so that the open side of the sheet protector is on the right side of the card when the card is open.  Then, while the card is still opened up, slip the remaining Swedish fish in between the paper & sheet protector & push them into the right area so that they appear to be in the ocean on the front cover.  Once they are in place, fold the card closed.  This will hold the fish in the front cover.

"I am banana's over you" & "You are the apple of my eye"  Pin Me
^ #3 - How about surprising the kiddos or your sweetheart with a fun-loving healthy snack sentiment in their packed lunch?  We had a lot of fun with these - they are guaranteed to please!

Supplies needed: banana, apple, white cardstock, red & black markers, scrapbooking letter & fruit stickers, 2 wiggle eyes, scissors, hole punch, 2 rubber bands or string or ribbon

#4 - Have someone special, but far away, that could use a Valentine's hug?  My daughter & I made this one to send to her Papa.  It's the actual size of her hands and arm length!

"Sending you a Valentine's hug...all the way from Seattle with love!"  Pin Me
Supplies needed: 1 sheet of pink cardstock paper, pen or marker, valentine themed stickers, ribbon or string.

#5 - How about a flower alternative?  Not only did this craft cost way less to make than a bouquet of flowers, but it's also a fun alternative for the youngsters who don't quite appreciate those traditional floral gifts yet.

"I'm so happy that the Lord 'picked' me to be your mommy!"  Pin Me
Supplies needed: white & green cardstock paper, floral card holder, pens or markers, stickers, family photograph(s), scissors, glue, tape, lollipops, small vase, ribbon

We had so much fun making these & we truly enjoyed each & every one of them.  We hope that if you decide to create some of these for your sweethearts that they would be blessed abundantly by them!  Like something you viewed here today?  We would love for you to follow our little blog via email &/or share us with your friends.  We also LOVE hearing from you & invite you to share with us your families projects or thoughts on ours by commenting below.  See you for our next project!
